Anaïs Blake is an accomplished actress and former professional ballet dancer whose career spans television, film, theater, motion capture, and dance.
Raised in Chicago, Anaïs discovered her love of performing at an early age through dance, print work, and commercials. She toured nationally with Trinity Irish Dance Company and performed with The Civic Ballet of Chicago before embarking on a professional career that seamlessly blended acting and dance.
On screen, Anaïs has appeared in Sugar (Apple TV+), The Rookie, and Not Dead Yet, and will next be seen in Ryan Murphy's upcoming series The Shards. Her film work includes an indie comedy feature currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video, and she has both produced and starred in several award-winning short films. She has also brought characters to life through motion capture performances for video games and industrial projects.
On stage, Anaïs starred as Penny in the Broadway National Tour of Dirty Dancing. She also appeared in Susan Stroman's Broadway-bound musical Marie, Dancing Still at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre and performed in Stroman's Contact at the Asolo Repertory Theatre.
As a professional ballet dancer, Anaïs spent nearly a decade with The Sarasota Ballet, performing featured and soloist roles in works by George Balanchine, Sir Frederick Ashton, Paul Taylor, Christopher Wheeldon, Twyla Tharp, and other renowned choreographers. She has performed at prestigious venues including the Kennedy Center, New York City Center's Fall for Dance Festival, The Joyce Theater, and Jacob's Pillow, and has guested with Suzanne Farrell Ballet, American Contemporary Ballet, and Richmond Ballet.
Throughout Anaïs’s career, she has been praised for her exquisite technique, as well as her artistry and theatrical sensibilities both on stage and in front of a camera. Her dynamic stage presence, and range reflect her life-long love of performing.
